Capt Scott trained in Glen Prosen for his expedition to the South Pole. The memorial is at the start of the Glen.
If you're a music fan, it's a must! Lovely little village too, but it was a flying visit so didn't get to look around much. Its great they put it an entrance to a car park, so very easy to get to.
Being a lifelong AC/DC fan, this statue is amazing. It perfectly captured the spirit of Bon with the pipes and is a great tribute to him in his Scottish hometown. The fencing around the statue even has the classic AC/DC lighting bolt on it! If you wander up to the top of the hill where the statue is at the bottom of, you'll also find a plaque on the ground dedicated to Bon. Well worth a visit!
